Turkish Delights uses dance to set an ambiance and transport their audience. They inspire a playful exchange between the music, the dancers and the audience. Talented and worldy musicians create a live, authentic show.
Turkish Delights weave the dance form’s history and technique with a romantic aesthetic from the early 20th century. In reverence to the tradition of Isadora Duncan and Mata Hari, they explore the feminine archetypes creating a modern interpretation of this iconic dance. Their pieces draw from a variety of geographic and historical sources combining with music, live or recorded, into a unique journey into our mythic past.
